– live and work in Australia as a temporary resident

– access Medicare and Centrelink services

With a temporary protection visa, specific to applicants who arrived by mediums other than boat, you can:

– live and work in Australia as a permanent resident

– access Medicare and Centrelink services

 

You will be granted a protection visa if the applicant:

– meets Australia’s protection obligations

– has a well-founded fear of persecution from returning to your home country

– satisfies the minister that the purpose of getting the visa is in national interest

– meets relevant health and character requirements

Applicants may included their partner, children and dependent family members in their applications.
